My name is Austin Wilson. I am a junior at Harvard-Westlake high school, where I play baseball for the varsity team. In the last couple weeks I have been taking tours with my parents to different division 1 colleges to improve our knowledge of the different programs. One of my unofficial visits was to USC. I had a great time meeting the coaching staff and touring the campus. Also coincidentally the USC football team was having their “pro” day for all of the NFL scouts, so I got to see Mark Sanchez and Brian Cushing in action. In addition I stayed to watch the USC baseball team practice, I was able to obtain information about a division 1 baseball practice up close and personal. About a week later I drove up to Palo Alto with my parents to see Stanford. On this unofficial visit, I got to sit in on a college class and see what the environment and curriculum was like in a college atmosphere. I stayed later that day to watch Stanford take on UCLA. I had a great time watching these two great teams battling it out on the field. I enjoyed every bit of these two unofficial visits, and I was able to learn new information in regards to college education and athletics.”
