I’m back! The latest stop for me on my BBall tour in Kavala, Greece. It has to be one of the most beautiful places that I’ve ever seen. I am very happy here. My team is a second year team in the first division. It’s comprised of three Americans and nine European players. I feel as though we can really turn some heads this year. We just need to work on building great team chemistry. The game itself is totally different from the United States, especially when it comes to physicality. The game here really comes down to how tough you are physically. Let’s just say that I’m making the adjustment. LOL We play one game a week and practice twice a day (killer!), but I have a good coach that understands the game and his players. We are now in the second week of the season and our record stands at 0-1. We lost to Maroussi which is a Euro-team by 20 points. The game was closer than the scoreboard showed. I had 11pts, 5rebs, a sick block, and a steal in 25 mins. Not bad, but not good enough by any means because we still got the loss. This weekend we play our first home game against a team that is new to the A1 division. They had money to spend in the offseason though so they have a good team. As always though, this is a must win! Besides the basketball part. Life is good. I’m a pro now and I’m able to provide for my family. There’s not too much more I can ask for right now, besides maybe an In and out burger! In the meantime be safe, be smart, and be accountable.

I’m back, fresh off of the heartbreak that there won’t be anymore hilarious commercials comprised of Lebron and Kobe arguing about championship rings. It was what everyone wanted to see outside of Florida. The Cavs vs. The Lakers, Lebron vs. Kobe, #1 vs. #2 (in no particular order of course lol). I guess you get the point. That would have been a series that instant classics were made of and now we must watch Disney land vs. Disney world (shout out to Sam Katz).
On another note I’m still here in Manhattan Beach working out daily. Tuning my body for hopefully a fulfilling year in the league. So far this month, I have workouts scheduled with the Buck and the Nets. When things shape up I would hope to finish the month with 5 or so workouts for teams but with whatever opportunity I get I will be thankful and approach each workout as if it were my last.
Draft month is a hectic month mentally, you have to remain focused and positive; never getting too high or low and trust in the fact that God has a plan. Hard work will pay off for all of us be it in your occupation or your personal life. If you really want something, work hard and go get regardless of how big the bumps in the road may seem it will make the end result much more memorable. Hopefully a month from now I can look my family and friends in the eyes and shout “WE MADE IT” because although I might be the one with the accolades the people behind the scenes helped make this dream possible. I’ll give an update soon! Go Lakers and God Bless

Hello world! My name is Lorrenzo Wade (no relation to D.Wade) I Played at The University of Louisville in 2005 before transferring to sunny SoCal to play at San Diego State University. I am currently on a trip and with lots of hard work and determination, I hope to get drafted in June. If not, all my hard work should land me on an NBA roster in the fall.
I’ve been living in Manhattan beach training for about 5 weeks with a performance company called Gameshape Training. The people I’ve been working with are Robbie Davis, who is Lamar Odoms personal trainer, and Tim Grover, who has trained Michael Jordan, Dwyane Wade, and Kobe Bryant, just to name a few. James Harden and myself are at the Gym for roughly 5-6 hours a day trying to do whatever it takes to improve all aspects of our respective games. The combo of Tim and Robbie is a beast at working muscles that I didnt even know existed, conditioning my body in ways that I never imagined, and shooting enough shots everyday to break a Guiness World Record.
I try my best on a daily basis to simulate what it might feel like because like my mom always says, “if you stay ready you aint gotta get ready.” I’m in San Diego for the weekends so when I think about it, life is very hard commuting between Sunny and Sunnier, but somebody has to do it lol.
Well…like my mom tells me to do, stay ready because I have a feeling that this trip that I’m on isn’t going to be easy but it will turn out to be something VERY special! Stay tuned and God Bless!
